IP65 is an international ingress protection rating. The first digit (6) means the fixture is fully dust-tight. The second digit (5) means it is protected against water jets from any direction.

In practical terms, this means the Designer AntiGlare Series can be used in bathrooms, showers, saunas, covered terraces, and other damp or wet locations where a standard downlight would not be suitable. It is also well suited to kitchens and areas where cleaning with water spray is common.

The COB LED sits deep inside a cone-shaped reflector. The depth of the reflector creates a 30-degree shielded cutoff angle, meaning the LED source is hidden from view for anyone standing or seated at normal sightlines. Light is directed downward rather than toward the eyes.

This makes the fixture comfortable for prolonged use in homes, offices, hospitality spaces, and retail environments where glare from overhead lighting would otherwise cause eye strain.

Most recessed downlights have the driver built into the fixture body, which adds bulk to the ceiling cavity and can make servicing difficult. The Designer AntiGlare Series uses a separate remote driver that mounts inside the junction box instead.

• 15°: Very narrow, for accenting art, objects, or architectural details from a distance.
• 24°: Focused beam for accent and task lighting in retail, galleries, and kitchens.
• 36°: Medium spread for general ambient lighting in most rooms.
• 45°: Wide spread for broader coverage in open or lower-ceiling spaces.

The narrow beam options (15° and 24°) suit accent applications where you want a defined pool of light. The wider options (36° and 45°) work better for general ambient coverage with fewer fixtures.

• 5000K: Daylight, bright and energizing, suited to task-heavy commercial and utility areas.

The 5CCT switch lets you set the color temperature at install, so you can use one SKU across an entire project and adjust per room without stocking multiple fixtures.

For general ambient lighting, a 36° or 45° beam at roughly half the ceiling height in spacing gives even coverage. For accent use, position the fixture so the beam center lands on the object being highlighted and choose the narrowest beam angle that covers it cleanly.

• Use a dimmer rated for LED loads and confirm compatibility before installation.
• The remote driver mounts in the junction box. Mount the driver first, then connect the fixture lead wire.
• Ceiling cutout: 75 mm for the 3-inch model, 95 mm for the 4-inch model.
• Fixture height: 65 mm (3-inch) and 70 mm (4-inch). Confirm sufficient ceiling cavity depth before cutting.
• Installation should be completed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes and wet-location requirements where applicable.

Can I use this in a shower?
Yes. The IP65 rating makes it suitable for wet locations, including shower enclosures. Follow local electrical codes for wet zone installation.

What is the difference between 12W and 15W on the 3-inch model?
The LP-3C1035 is available in both 12W and 15W. The 15W variant delivers higher lumen output for larger or brighter applications. Check the spec sheet for per-wattage lumen figures.

Why is the driver separate?
A remote driver reduces the fixture's ceiling footprint, makes servicing easier, and allows installation in tighter ceiling cavities where a built-in driver would not fit.

What does the 30-degree shielded angle mean?
It means the LED source is hidden from direct view for anyone standing or seated more than 30 degrees from directly below the fixture. This prevents glare and keeps the light comfortable in occupied spaces.

Is it suitable for new construction and remodels?
Yes. The remote driver design and standard ceiling cutout sizes make it compatible with both new construction ceiling boxes and retrofit installations.
